Graduation is upon us.  I have two son's graduating from College this year and one son graduating from High School.  I am so very proud of all of them. I was asked  to make a Graduation Photo Album by someone. This is was I came up with. I designed some of the paper and many of the embellishments myself. The album can be personalized. I can change to your school colors. I have really been enjoying designing my own paper and embellishments. It is really nice to make something that fits the projects I am working on and not having to spend lot's of time shopping for something I never seem to find in the end.

Feeling a bit better today.  Have had some darn bug.  I am finding the winter weather seems to zap my creativity some. The weather is warming up and I finally made it to my office to create a card. What about you?  Does the weather have any influence on how creative you are?

You've Been Elfed

Hello,

Apparently the "You've Been Elfed" tradition has been going on for awhile and I only found out last year after the Holiday's.  We have a couple of new neighbors this year so I thought it would be nice to Elf the new neighbors.  There are lot's of cute You've Been Elfed signs on the internet you can search for and print out to use for yourself.  I found one I particularly liked here: http://www.tipsfromatypicalmomblog.com/2012/11/weve-been-elfed-free-printable-door.html This site has lot's of other fun stuff also.
I wanted a couple of tags to attach to my gifts so I made a couple to match the signs.

I know that a lot of people like to do neighbor gifts, but this is extra special because it’s done in secret, and the kids love to ring the doorbell and run away.  They feel like little elves themselves.

So what you do is:
1. Download the printable signs and tags. (Click on the above image and it will open to full size. Right click your mouse and save to your computer).
2. Print 2 Copies
3. Make a special treat for 2 people (maybe pick someone that needs some extra love, this is a great way talk to your kids about thinking of others instead of themselves)
4. Head out and leave the note with the treat on your unsuspecting recipient!
5. And above all, have fun!

Halloween Treat Box Class

Hello Ladies,

Halloween will be here soon.  I have designed some treat boxes that will make giving your sweets to someone extra special.  Attend my class on October 7th at 6:30 pm. Get all the materials to decorate 8 boxes.  You will have extra designs and tags to make more boxes or add to bags for gift giving.  Class fee: $12.00.  Please register in advance so I can prepare a kit for you.  Here is a photo of the projects you will be making.

I saw a couple of cute bags online and wanted to make myself some.  I spent today making a couple of bags. They were really easy to make. My daughter-in-law wants a Bento Tote for her lunch tote.  My son's girlfriend wants a Origami bag because she thinks it is so cute.  I have another bag I want to make.  Project for another day.

New Antiquity Collection from Heartfelt Creations

Hello,

I have spent the past four days at the CHA convention.  I had so much fun.  I took several classes at Clearsnap and learned several ways to use ink to create beautiful backgrounds on a variety of surfaces and with a variety of inks and sprays.  I still really like the Colorbox pigment inks. They came out with two new sets that have yummy colors.
One of my favorite booths was Heartfelt Creations.  They have beautiful stamps, metal dies and papers.  The display samples are over the top beautiful.  I was able to get a paper pad of their new Antiquity Collection colors to show at work. (Hopefully we will be ordering some for upcoming kits).  I really like that the new paper pads though 12 x 12 in size have 6 x 6 quads on a page.  Great for those 6 x 6 albums I like to make.  The pads also have 12 x 12 designs and lots of beautiful frames and greetings that are wonderful for card making and scrapbooking.
Here is a card I made tonight using the paper. I know it isn't full of flowers and mega layers of stuff.  How do you mail those cards anyway.  This card is also for a guy and he wouldn't want all those flowers.  Watch for more projects.

Love Messages in a Jar

Hi, 
My son Allan wanted to make his girlfriend something from his heart for her for Christmas. I helped him a little with this project. We designed these small cards that he wrote down things he likes and appreciates about her. Then he decorated a jar and filled it with the cards. Is that just not the sweetest. I was amazed at how many things he wrote and filled the jar with. I was thinking these would make wonderful Valentines gifts. If anyone is interested I could make one for you and you just fill in the cards to give to your loved one. I will also include extra cards so as time goes on you can fill in more cards to be added to the jar. I can change the colors of the paper to colors you prefer. Cupcake Liner Storage Idea

Hello,

I have discovered in 2013 that I have found I enjoy finding new uses for items.  I try to think outside the box on ways to re-purpose items.  I have come up with some clever ideas if I say so myself.   Do you have cupcake liners in your cupboard that fall around, get dirty if left unused for too long or get smashed and useless? I cannot take full credit for this idea but knew it would be a very useful idea, I just needed to find a container that would work and one I already had sitting in a cupboard not being used.  I found this beautiful jar. So what if it has a Christmas print.  I have always liked the jar but had it stuffed in the back of a shelf too high for me to reach.  It will now be in a cupboard I open everyday so I will see it more often and better yet my cupcake liners will be neatly contained and clean.

Come anytime between these hours to complete your cards. Allow at least 3 hours to complete projects.

You will be ready to send cards to all your family and friends for Christmas!

You will make 12 cards, from the selection available. Envelopes included.

A variety of accessories and papers will be used. All supplies included in this class.

Back in school . . . . . .

Hi Ladies,

I went back to school in January and attended the local Adult School.  I did learn some stuff but not enough. In Sept. I started attending the local Junior college.  Checking my records, I cannot believe how many units I have completed.  I am going to check out what I need so I can finally get my AA degree.  I am currently taking a Illustrator and Photoshop class.  The college has much more homework to be completed.  All my spare time is doing homework these days. I have had a couple of projects I have been working on.  The first one was to make a mask design.  I made a beautiful butterfly using Illustrator and used it to make a banner for my Facebook page.  I am now working on a business logo.  This is what I have come up with.  What do you all think of my projects?  I hope to have time to be more creative and make the projects I enjoy.
