Stampin' Up! just finished hosting it's 20th anniversary convention. There were more than 5700 demonstrators in attendance. During the convention the new Stampin' Up! catalog was released. Mine should be arriving in the mail soon. I hear this catalog is beautiful and has stamping tips and techniques throughout the catalog. If you would like to own your very own SU catalog let me know. There will be a 21 page spread in the December holiday issue of Country Living magazine that will feature an exclusive kit with stamps, designer papers, etc.

Phase 2 of the Decor Elements Wall Art will be released in the fall, and the images and colors are gorgeous! There will be many different designs available for various holidays, along with some great new images for every day!

Stampin’ Up! Big Shot - SU has partnered with Sizzix for a private labeled version of the Big Shot die-cutting machine (also known as the Big Kick to many people). The machine is black and there are 9 SU exclusive dies to go with it. Also a cute bag is available. Demonstrators can pre-order now and customers can purchase starting September 2nd. (Oh, I so badly want to get this)

Shelli’s Signature Collection - Her signature product line (including the Bella Rose apron) will be launched August 4th. These items will be for sale in the holiday mini collection, available in September.

Fun CD Holder Photo Album

Hello,

These are so fun to make. I used two CD holders to make a small photo album.
The papers are from Pinecone Press. They are their brand new Halloween designs. I choose some of the colors to make it look more like a Guy or Fall book for the second book you see here.
I used a Sizzix die to make my tags and envelopes.
I wll be planning a class for this in the future. Watch the calender for date.

Paper Tole Art Cards

Hello,

What is Paper Tole Art you ask? An art form for over 200 years, Paper Tole is highly prized for its total uniqueness. Paper Tole is a crafting idea of making soothing and spectacular three-dimensional images. Paper Tole is a craft where several prints of the same picture are gathered and its major components are painstakingly cut by hand using exacto knives and artful skill. Artisans know of the costly expense and consumption of time required to master an image. They must have knowledge of cutting as well as what to cut, what to keep, what to throw away and how to glue, block, shape, and form. If you do a search for Paper Tole you can find some magnificent art work.

Not to diminish the true quality art form, I have a made a much simplified version. I absolutely love these cards. They may require a little time to cut the layers, but the beauty of the finished card is so worth the time.

I will be having two classes for these cards. July 10th at Diane's Place and July 21st at Pinecone Press. Check the calendar for time, cost and supply list. There will be a total of 3 projects. I hope you can come. Don't feel intimidated. I will make the process easy for you. Please feel free to leave your comments.

Announcing a name change to Open House Stamping Nights to "Expresso Yourself Project Nights". I think it sounds a bit more funky and a bit more like what I would like you to do.
Express yourself through creativity. Share that creativity with someone else when you gift them a project you have made. We all love to receive handmade gifts. It says I think you are worth my time to make something special, one of a kind and unique.
Come to "Expresso Yourself Project Night" with a project in mind to work on or come and explore my samples and get inspired to create something. Just have a fun time being creative. Don't be intimidated thinking you cannot create a card on your own. This is the perfect opportunity as I will be here to help you. I will also have samples you can copy and tons of project ideas on my computer to inspire you. Clear Cards Class Projects

Hello,
These are so cool to make. Did you ever think of making a card that start with a clear base? There are so many things you can do with them. You can stamp on them, use alcohol inks to color with, use your embossing folders to emboss, add silk and paper flowers as accents and so much more. Here are some cards I have planned for my Clear Cards class. Looks like am I switching some class dates around so this class will be Thursday, June 19th at 7:00 pm at Diane's Place. Class fee $15.00. Father's Day Card Class

Hello,
I finally have some great cards for the Father's Day card class. If you don't have a Father to give a card to you can still enjoy giving them to someone for their birthday or just because. I will have a variety of greetings you can choose to finish your can with.
Classs date is: Thursday, June 5th at 7:00 pm at Diane's Place. Class fee is $15.00

The pictures really don't do the pictures justice. I need a much better editing program on my computer than I have.

Sunflower Purse Album Class

Hello,
Come and learn how to make these fun Purse Albums. These albums are made differently than the ones made with the Carousel Notes. Notice that you can make your album with a White background using the Pinecone Press Flap Album or a wonderful Chocolate background using Stampin' UP! Chocolate Chip cardstock. Yummy Chocolate!! oh, but this is paper not candy. These make great gifts to give, or for your own personal use. Decorate with any paper design you choose and you can change the look. Think of giving as Bridemaids gifts with pics of the wedding, Mothers Day gift filled with kids or grandkids photos, Friendship album.
Classes are at my home on Thursday, May 29th at 7:00 pm. Class fee: $15.00. Class will be offered again on Saturday May 31st at 10:30 am. Class fee: $15.00.

Carousel Notes & Afternoon Tea Purse Album

I love the Stampin' Up! Afternoon Tea designer papers. I put together the Carousel Notes and the Afternoon Tea papers and created these fun to make purse albums. I combined the "Live Your Dream" stamp set to complete the project. If you would like to purchase the Carousel Notes, the Afternoon Tea papers and the Live Your Dream stamp set, you can still purchase them until June 30th. New Classes Coming!!!

Open House -Thursday night

Hi ladies,

I had my Open House stamping last night. Only a few showed up but we had a great time. Someone brought some tools they had bought and no clue how to use them. I showed her how and now she is excited to know what to do with her tools. Everyone was busy using my Cuttlebug, checking out a new project I designed, sharing ideas on they projects they were working. There was still hardly a dent made into the amount of scraps I have. I think I could do this for a year and still have scraps to be used. We had some very interesting conversation about Thursday's Oprah show. Who knew that a man could be pregnant. Yes I said a man be pregnant. Well, if you watched enough of the show you were informed that the person had at one time been a woman and had undergone the transformation be become a man.
Anyone who missed out I hope to see you next week.
Lupe, everyone asked where you were. They were looking forward to you demoing a card.

Spring Flap Album Class

See photo below a little for project sample. I will be teaching this project at Pinecone Press on April 19th at 1:30. Cost is $20.00. Class will also be at Diane's Place. Date to be set soon. Watch calendar for details. You will complete the entire Spring Flap Album in class. It is a wonderful and easy project. When you have picture of a small event this is a great size. Perfect size for gift giving. Make one for Mother's Day and fill with your children's photos for Grandma.

I love this paper. The pictures do not do the project justice. I had a wonderful time making these cards and the purse bag.
